We publish queer books!
GenderWild publishes stories by, for, and about the queer and transgender community. Our works span fiction and nonfiction categories in daring, genre-splitting fashion. We can’t be bound by the rules we don’t know, and we are steadfastly ignoring the rulebooks!
GenderWild emphasizes and encourages authors who are new to publishing their work. Our authors identify themselves within the transgender, intersex, nonbinary, genderqueer spectrum. We are very excited to publish works by authors who also come from neurodiverse, BIPOC, AANHPI, disabled, chronically ill, and immigrant communities.
GenderWild prioritizes business connections within the queer community.
What makes us different?
Unlike other publishers, GenderWild only accepts manuscripts from transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and genderqueer authors. We tell great stories we love by authors we adore. These include works of fiction as well as nonfiction.
Traditional publishing is a tough place to get into as a writer. Lots of authors feel frustrated, shut out, and burnt out from trying. Does it have to be that way? Is self-publishing our books the only other option? Here at GenderWild Press we think there’s gotta be another way, and we’re going to figure it out.
Readers also deserve a publisher you can trust to bring you incredible books you won’t find anywhere else. When you buy our books, you know you’re supporting queer writers, queer artists, and a small queer business that cares about helping our authors reach their audiences.
Our first books are still in their early planning stages. You can stay in the loop with us by subscribing!

Founder and CEO
Robin Taylor (he/him) comes from a long line of storytellers, orators, writers, and pun architects. His writing features prominently on TransFriend as well as SmallStack. You can often find him weeding the garden, knocking down the wrong wall, taking apart an old bicycle, or otherwise getting in trouble for wearing “good clothes” to do “dirty work.”
